PA required for 16yrs of age male – SY2 6GQ

PA to support a young man 16yrs of age who has autism and learning disability loves music and wants to learn to DJ. enjoys music, football (watching a match or playing), bowling, golf at the driving range, national trust locations, eating out.
Accompanying to various activities, socialisation and helping with life skills such as travel training - using the bus, train etc he requires lots of support with socialising as this is an area where he struggles massively.
He needs someone who will start a conversation as struggles in this area as to what to talk about especially with someone he doesn’t know but is chatty when he becomes less anxious, he doesn’t like silence with the person he would be with so talking is a must.
He has no physical disabilities and can go to the toilet alone.
He doesn’t like loud sudden noises dogs barking car horns some hand dryers fire alarms.
Because he finds facial expressions difficult to understand he has a thing where he gets upset if people pull big eyes.
He needs someone who is calm and has patience and explains things clearly he doesn’t like to be touched or to be around lots of people so we avoid queue’s.
He likes cats but not dogs.
Daytime hours only during school holidays can be 2 x 6hrs or 3 x 4hrs pick up at 10.30am could be earlier if they were going out somewhere.
Can be employed or self employed
Would like someone who has a happy bubbly nature not loud is fun and likes to interact and do things.
Experience in understanding their developmental needs.
Driver required with own car. DBS and reference’s needed.
This young man has a great personality and loads of fun he just needs encouragement to come out of himself as he lacks confidence so lots of support needed in this area, he doesn’t have great awareness of crossing the road so needs reminding to look each way and to keep checking.
Mileage paid only from pick up expenses paid for activities/days out but not the PA lunch they provide their own.

Hours per week – 12 hours per week, during school holidays only weekdays only days and times to be arranged.

Hourly rate – £14.89 gross per hour employed / self employed £16.98 per hour
