PA required for 15 year old son – SY5 area

A Personal Assistant (PA) is required to support a friendly and sociable 15-year-old young man with Down's Syndrome to access sports and leisure activities within the local community.

He is a kind, outgoing young person who enjoys being active and loves taking part in a variety of sports. He is also passionate about music and enjoys spending time playing on his PS5. He would benefit from a PA who is enthusiastic, encouraging and able to support him to build confidence, develop independence and enjoy community-based activities.

The role will involve accompanying him to sports sessions and other activities, providing encouragement and support, and ensuring he has a fun, safe and positive experience. A driver with access to their own vehicle is essential to enable him to access activities in and around the Shrewsbury area.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, patient and enjoys working with young people. Experience working with children and families is desirable, but not essential. Any gender is welcome to apply.

DBS – the successful PA must hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate that is registered in Shropshire and dated within the last three months. If you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain one before commencing the role.

Hourly rate – £14.89 Gross rate (Employed) or £16.98 (Self-Employed)
