PA required for male ASD 10 years old who loves fun and adventures SY4 area

We are looking for a PA for our son to assist with days out during the school holidays and once a relationship has been formed, we would like to extend this to taking him out one on one and also looking after him in our family home one on one.

He is a very happy little boy who loves going out and about, very active, loves climbing, running and playing is preverbal and has limited understanding of danger, whilst out and about does use a wheelchair for safety but also does like to explore and is a big fan of the outdoors! and animals, has a sensitive soul who can be a little shy at first however once he gets to know you you’d have a ‘friend for life’

Enjoys music and dancing, loves to laugh, and enjoys life.

Also loves to visit a place called SNAP in Cannock an indoor and outdoor activity play arena which is equipped for children with SEND, loves National Trust Parks, Attingham Park etc and we are trying to encourage him to play near other children and share play equipment and these are both places he can do that and that he is comfortable going to.

Our young man has ASD and learning disabilities and requires support with his personal care as still wears nappies therefore ideally would like someone to help with this for personal care, he wears nappies on a full-time basis, therefore would require help and support with this.

Due to his needs the right applicant will need to be physically fit, kind, patient and have experience working with children with additional needs (preferably preverbal). Most importantly you will need to be fun loving and enjoy a good adventure!

We are a very laid back, close family who laugh a lot and take everything in our stride. We are very welcoming and accepting.

Driving licence and vehicle required.
DBS completed by Shropshire Council.
6 hours a week, school holidays only.
Flexible on how hours are used, to be agreed in advance.
Competitive rate of pay plus mileage and activities paid for
