Personal Assistant – Supportive Role

I’m looking for a kind, reliable, and understanding individual to support me in my day-to-day life. I live with a long-term progressive health condition that causes pain and fatigue, and I have four children aged between 7 and 14, an enhanced DBS check is a requirement. This role is about more than just practical help – it’s about building a supportive, trusting relationship.

Key responsibilities:

Assisting with housework and daily tasks
Helping me manage and pace my energy levels
Providing support with decision-making and planning
Offering companionship and emotional support

Personal qualities:

Empathetic and a good listener
Patient, calm, and supportive
Comfortable working in a family environment with children
Able to adapt to changing needs over time
Good communicator and confident in offering gentle guidance

Additional notes: This role may suit someone who has raised a family or supported others in a caring capacity. While there is no requirement around age or background, a shared understanding of family life and the challenges of managing health conditions would be valuable.

Above all, I’m looking for someone who can walk alongside me (physically and metaphorically) – someone who is warm, dependable, and able to be a steady presence in my life.
