Seeking a reliable, caring individual to support my family. This role involves providing assistance to my husband (aged 59), who has Young Onset Alzheimer's, and helping his family carers, including two children (age 14 and 12).

Duties include supervision, companionship, light household tasks, meal cooking, and supporting family wellbeing, particularly when mum is away for work or requires respite.

There will be a 3-month probationary period to ensure the right fit for you and us.

We are a vegan family, so we are looking for someone respectful of and comfortable working within a vegan household.

Requirements:

A compassionate, patient, and responsible approach

Experience or interest in dementia care, mental health, or supporting families

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Ability to work independently and use initiative

Driving and owning a car (0.45p per mile) paid.

Hours per week – Ideally 10-hour shift on Saturdays, 10 am to 8 pm. There is some flexibility with our regular PA.

Hourly rate – £16.65 per hour if self-employed or £12.21 per hour if employed (employed also with sickness and holiday pay)
