Personal Assistant – SY1 – needed to support a lady with early onset dementia

I am looking for someone who can help support my Mum. She’s 58 and in the early stages of dementia. Unfortunately she can no longer drive and therefore is finding the new restrictions and changes to her life challenging. She loves taking her 1 year old cockapoo for walks so we would ideally like someone who can drive them out to discover new places and help her access the community. She enjoys going into town shopping, out for coffee and going to the cinema with friends. She also needs help with food shopping, preparing meals and reminders to take her medication but mostly we are searching for someone to keep her company throughout the day.

Hours per week – 6-8 hours per week over 2-3 days. Possibly between Monday- Thursday. Flexible.

Hourly rate – £16.00/hr

Area – Shrewsbury

Driving licence required – Yes
