Personal Assistant Needed – A Calm, Caring Presence in Alverley

Are you someone who brings calm, patience, and kindness into the lives of others? In the peaceful village of Alverley, a 75-year-old lady is looking for a female care assistant who can offer gentle support and companionship as she navigates life with mobility challenges and a brain injury.

This isn’t just a job—it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s daily routine. You’ll be helping her feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, especially during the early mornings and on Saturdays.

What the Role Involves

Each morning, she needs someone to check in and ensure she’s safely moved from her bed to her chair. It’s a short visit—just half an hour to an hour—but it essential to ensure her safety.

On Saturdays, your presence will be more involved. You’ll help with showering, preparing breakfast, doing laundry, tidying the house, and maybe even heading out for a walk if the weather’s nice. It’s about creating a rhythm that feels supportive and respectful.

You’ll also be using a Sara Stedy to assist with safe transfers.

Who You Might Be

You’re someone who understands the importance of being calm and steady. You might have experience supporting people with mobility issues or brain injuries, or you might simply be someone who’s naturally empathetic and willing to learn.
Reliability and punctuality are key, as is a flexible approach to hours and tasks. The ideal person will be open to discussing what works best for both of you.

If you think you’d be a good fit for this role, whether employed or self-employed, please get in touch to discuss further. We’d love to hear from you even if you can’t cover all the times we need, we are happy to discuss what you are able to provide.
