PA/Team of PA’s required to assist 21-yr old woman live life to the full (SY11)

The employer/person who requires care is a 21-yr-old female who lives at her adapted family home in Oswestry, Shropshire. She is currently a wheelchair user following a diagnosis of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) & Functional Hyperkinetic Movement Disorder and experiences non-epileptic seizures, absent episodes, ticks, muscle spasms and speech difficulties. She is also neurodivergent. The employers' care needs can fluctuate as her symptoms can vary day to day. Some personal care is needed.

The employer describes herself as a light-hearted, friendly, fun loving and quirky individual who appreciates a good sense of humour. She is passionate about activism and being a member of the LGBTQ + community. She also believes it is important to know she suffers with anxiety and can be reserved and shy at first, however she is looking for an accepting and adventurous PA who can bring out her confidence and fantastic personality.
She enjoys expressing herself through her style and clothing; she especially loves Halloween and all things spooky themed. She enjoys crafting, attends a weekly art class (with the potential opportunity to volunteer in the future), is interested in baking, textiles, and writing with a view of publishing/selling products. She is eager to keep active and is interested in accessing adapted sports, swimming, and currently attends chair yoga.
Despite the employer's disability, she is passionate about maintaining an active social life and engaging in activities popular among young adults, just like any other 21-year-old, such as attending pubs and clubs, days out shopping in the city and attending events such as Pride or disability related exhibitions/conferences.

Hours per week – Total hours cover required = 45 hrs spread over Mon - Fri, 07:30 - 16:30 (or 08:00 - 17:00). Job share considered.

Hourly rate – Employed PA = £12.21/hr.
