PA support for adolescent girl with learning difficulties SY3

I am looking for a PA to help with my 16 year old daughter for 6 paid hours on a Saturday 10:00-16:00 to take her out from our home for the day to help with social integration and activity. Initially we are looking for every other weekend.

She has learning difficulties and global developmental delay so has not got the mental age to match her years but despite this loves singing, dancing and animals. She has a fantastic personality and can be playful and funny once comfortable with people but can be shy at first meeting with new people. Taking her to meet friends, interact with peers and help developing social skills is something we are keen on, that could involve going to dance club, animal sanctuaries, or buddies social events.

Hourly rate as per employed PA Shropshire council- Sally’s payroll/just credit - expenses can be discussed/negotiated directly
Area Shrewsbury
Driving licence - preferred but not essential
Employer has pets - yes

Required care experience - working with children and families, working with people with a learning disability, working with people with autism/neuro-divergence - due to her introverted and shy personality a bubbly and energetic PA would be ideal. A good understanding of neuro-divergent behaviours and patients with adolescents with cognitive processing issues would be helpful.

Hourly rate – employed PA Rate £12.21/hr PA will require a valid and current DBS which is held in Shropshire and within 3 months, if they already have a DBS beyond this timeframe then a new DBS application would need to be applied for
