PA for one morning a week in TF9

Experienced and reliable PA needed for friendly and active man living with Alzheimer’s in the Market Drayton area.

We are looking for a kind, reliable, and experienced personal assistant, who can easily engage with my husband who is a friendly and active man in his early 70s living with Alzheimer’s.
We live in the lovely village of Norton-in-Hales and our home is spacious and well resourced with books and music with the kitchen leading out to the garden.
My husband has been an artist all his life, has many interests and loves talking about a wide range of subjects.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing simple, nutritious meals .
Providing companionship.
Occasional dog walking (we have a very friendly Jack Russell, 30 minutes daily)

My husband is a warm and engaging person who loves the chance to show someone his studio, which is full of beautiful artwork he’s created over the years. He also has a keen interest in classic cars and music, and enjoys chatting about both.
He’s equally happy spending quiet time reading during the day and simply enjoying the peace and calm of our home and surroundings.

We’re looking for someone with prior experience supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s or similar conditions, and who can provide references. A calm, compassionate nature and good sense of humour would be helpful.

Hourly rate – Privately funded £17 an hour
