PA for adult with learning disability and children – SY1

Open to both employed and self-employed PAs expressing interest in this incredibly rewarding and important role. Supervision will be provided from a distance by myself but PA will need to take initiative and think ahead to support a Mum with prompts to manage day to day tasks and managing her parental responsibilities.

My daughter-in-law has a hidden learning disability - She is 32 years old and lives with my son who works full time. They have two young children in school & full time nursery excepting school holidays. I’m looking for a PA who can take a lead role, guide and assist my daughter-in-law through her days while my son is at work. Hours need to be flexible around family needs and commitments.

Wed to Fri mornings 7am-9am to include help with the morning routine, prompting her to clean her teeth, assist getting the children ready for school or other activity in school holiday, preparing breakfast with her for then all before she leaves to walk the boys to school at 8.30am. Also to support with clearing away, laundry, and bed making.

Sat and Sun, 6 hours block afternoon/evening covering tea and bedtime approx. 3pm-9pm She needs help entertaining the children at home or in the park before teatime, preparing an evening meal and assistance with the children's bath/bedtime routine, cleaning, tidying away. To be company for her after the children are in bed, listen to her practice reading her book, watch a film, or listen to music.

Driver preferred - will need business insurance. Mileage covered at 45p a mile.

DBS check is mandatory at enhanced level with barring check due to children being present in the house.
