12 hours for PA in Shrewsbury

I'm a 28 year old male who is looking to employ someone with experience in support to lead a fulfilling life.
They will need to be caring, have a good sense of humour and be skilled in managing my anxiety in coping with new tasks and experiences. I'm more likely to engage with someone close to my age although this does not preclude a more mature person.

I have a learning disability and autism. I also have epilepsy, which is well controlled. We would be looking for someone who has previous experience of caring in these areas.

I love music and art, browsing in shops and socializing. I'm very friendly but lack confidence and will need to build trust with the person supporting me.
I need support and supervision to socialize, managing money, completing shopping, travelling and engaging in social and recreational activities.
I need someone who can engage and share my interests including singing, art, and miniatures.
I'm keen to access support groups in the Shrewsbury area. I'm able to travel by public transport with supervision.
A big part of the role is supporting me in increasing confidence and develop a greater level of independence to reach my full potential.

There is an expectation that the PA will have a current DBS and be able to provide references.

Hours per week – 12 hours per week. This would be divided over 2 or 3 days excluding weekends. The hours are negotiable but preference would be between 09.00 and 18.00

Hourly rate – 16.00 per hour
